Whenever we hear Lana Del Rey’s hit song Video Games it makes us get all nostalgic and a bit weepy. That’s why we’re surprised to hear her claim that it’s actually a happy song about being with her boyfriend.
Well if that haunting little tune is a HAPPY Lana Del Rey song we genuinely think a sad one might make us jump off the nearest cliff.
Lana Del Rey told Q magazine that Video Games was all about living with her boyfriend, even if he was preoccupied with playing call of Duty.
She explained: "I would come home and watch him play video games. I never joined in as I’d get killed straight away. it was just about us being together in the same room."
She also added that her new single, Born To Die, is not about sex.
The original version of the song included the line, "Let me f*** you hard in the pouring rain", which was later changed to ‘kiss you hard…’.on why she changed the lyrics Lana said: "I’m singing it to my boyfriend and it’s not about f***ing. It’s more about…when I found someone that made me feel really happy, that was so different to the way I’d felt before in my life."
