Looks like Tennis really ran away with the idea of having a video, “Deep in the Woods.” The new album from Tennis is ”Young and Old,” (due out February 14 on Fat Possum) and you can check out their other single, “Origins,” that Reverb reported about over here.
Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps back to make some major strides. Reverb previously reported the Lumineers dealing with some vagrants in Los Angeles that resulted in the theft of the band’s instruments. The CW (yes they’re still around) television series, “Hart of Dixie,” starring “The O.C.” alum Rachel Bilson, uses “Ho Hey” from the Lumineers in the latest episode that you can watch here. The tune starts at the 39:01 minute mark and fans can expect the track to be part of the proper debut album release scheduled for March 2012 according to this Facebook status from the band. OneRepublic has composed a very worthy Christmas single that you will probably hear for many more holiday seasons to come. “Christmas without You” is the name of the track and the guys performed before the First Family at The National Christmas Tree Lighting last week. The single is available for purchase here and yes, you’ll still probably have to hear the eternal classic from Wham! in case you missed it, Reverb reported most recently that OneRepublic has been nominated for two Grammys. Churchill’s video for the “Change” single appears to be inspired by Christopher Walken’s appearance in Fatboy Slim’s video for “Weapon of choice,” except with roller skates. in case you missed it, “Change,” was part of this week’s “Steal This Track” that you can check out here.
2012 is going to be a big year for Achille Lauro. a new album is set for release next year and the preview below sounds extremely promising. If your significant others enjoy the scent of lit candles, Achille Lauro would love to help with that need as well. The stock on their candles at Twist & Shout is ripe for the taking. It could literally be the best four dollars you ever burn.
Congrats to Mombi. The video for “the Misunderstanding” that Reverb premiered has gone international by getting picked up by NME.
